Discover a simple way to plan for your business growth and success

"Procrastination is the fear of success. People procrastinate because they are afraid of the success that they know will result if they move ahead now. Because success is heavy, carries a responsibility with it, it is much easier to procrastinate and live on the 'someday I'll' philosophy."
- Denis Waitley

"Entrepreneurs are risk takers, willing to roll the dice with their money or reputation on the line in support of an idea or enterprise. They willingly assume responsibility for the success or failure of a venture and are answerable for all its facets."
-Victor Kiam

"When you have talked yourself into what you want, stop talking and begin saying it with your action.

Persuading yourself that you can do something is a strong beginning. Next, develop a sound plan and get into action.

The longer you delay, the harder it will be to begin. Seldom is a plan perfect. If you have a clear vision of your goal and a plan that is flexible enough to allow you to deal with unexpected obstacles or take advantage of unforeseen opportunities, don't delay another minute.

Just getting into action--even if you do have to make adjustments later--will help focus your mind and channel your energies in the direction of your objective."

-The Napoleon Hill Foundation

Working with Stacy is Easy...

Interested in hiring me to speak at your next event? Head over to my Speaking & Workshops page for more info.

Thinking about hiring me as a consultant or copywriter? Terrific! I’d love to hear from you and discuss your needs. But first, I’d like to save us both a ton of time by outlining how I work.

This way, you know exactly what to expect from me. And we can move ahead as quickly as possible.

Step 1 – Get to Know What I Do

Before you even think about calling me, please review my Website carefully.

This will give you a good idea of my marketing and copywriting philosophy, as well as the kind of practical, down-to-earth information I provide.

If you are interested in hiring me as a consultant or copywriter I ask that, at the very least, you read a few of my articles on either marketing or copywriting. Then sign up for my free weekly e-newsletter Bright Ideas.

If you like what you read. Then it’s time for us to talk.

Step 2 – 15-Minutes on the Phone

I know a lot of consultants avoid getting on the phone with prospective clients like the plague. Why? Because we all have a tendency to offer advice and money-making ideas whether we are being paid or not. But I believe that unless you and I spend a few minutes talking, it’s hard to know if we are going to be a good fit.

So I offer all potential consulting and copywriting clients a free, 15-minute phone meeting. This is your chance to make sure I offer what you are looking for. It’s also my chance to make sure you are the kind of client I want to work with. And I must warn you, I don’t take on just anybody.

These days I’m extremely busy with speaking engagements, producing a radio show and writing new books. So I only choose to work with people I really believe I can help. And who I think are going to be fun to work with.

Generally that means entrepreneurs who:
• Understand the value of powerfully effective marketing
• See the difference between good copywriting and bad copywriting
• Are willing and open to trying something new or different
• Take action and get things done
• Have a sense of humor and a zest for life

If this sounds like you, move on to Step 3

Step 3 – Information Gathering

If you’ve made it this far, chances are we are going to be working together to grow your business. But in order for that to happen, I need to know a lot more about you, your business, your target market, your goals and your strengths and weaknesses.

So I’ll ask you to fill out one of my fun and handy New Client Questionnaires (my version of a doctor’s New Patient Intake Form). I’ll also send you a contract for my services along with an estimate for our first meeting. I need both the contract and questionnaire sent back to me in order to schedule your initial consultation.

Step 4 – Getting Together

Whether you hire me as a marketing consultant or copywriter, I always begin with an initial consultation. If you’d like to hire me as a consultant, I offer a number of different options for working together.

For copywriting clients I normally start with a half-day meeting either by phone or in person in the Seattle area. If you are outside the Seattle area I am happy to meet in person, but you are responsible for paying my travel costs and time.

Even if you're far away, don't worry. We can still work together. Most projects can easily be completed via fax, phone and email—saving us both time and money.

Once we’ve talked, I’ll send you a copy of my notes along with a laundry list of suggestions for improving your marketing and/or copywriting. Plus, I include any ideas I’ve had for growing your business, increasing sales and creating passive streams of revenue.

Step 5 – Writing Copy (optional)

Once we’ve had an initial consultation, I can give you an estimate for your copywriting project. I do not work as a copywriter on an hourly basis. Instead I prefer to give you a per-project estimate.

That way you know exactly what to expect up front. And I can do my best work without constantly watching the clock.

This estimate includes creative time, research time, project management and any additional phone meetings you require. Plus, it includes two rounds of revisions and a final proofread before your materials go live or go to press.

A signed estimate and a deposit of 33-50% (depending on the size of the project) are always due before I start writing. The remainder is due in one or two payments. This lets me know you’re serious, and keeps it affordable for you.

Even if your budget is small, don't despair. My goal is to help you achieve success. That’s why I offer other options like Marketing and Copywriting Critiques, Copy Coaching, and Classes. All of these are designed to help you grow your business without breaking the bank.

My Guarantee

If you honestly don’t feel that you have gotten at least one truly valuable idea from your initial consultation, just let me know immediately. I won’t charge you a thing.

I also stand behind my copywriting services. So if use my copy as written, and in the manner it was intended, and you don’t get any results I rewrite it—for free—until you do.
