This flier was placed inside the box of every software sold—along with the fliers of about six or eight other trainers. It was my only form of advertising, so it had to be written right or it wasn't going to do the job.

If you read it through, you notice I carefully target my customer's problem, empathize with them to build credibility and good feelings, then show how I can solve their problem. It's also designed to be skimmed as well as read and still get the critical information across.

How successful was it? Within two months I was booked solid four weeks out. And I continued to use the same flier successfully for more than two years.

This is actually a copywriting project I did for one of my own businesses back in the late nineties. At the time, I was a contract software trainer and management consultant for veterinarians on the East Coast.
